For the first time in recent weeks, we as publishers are starting to feel a little more in control and optimistic. Finally somebody at Government level is intervening to stabilise things in the South African Post Office and with the board resigning and a technical team being appointed to implement a 9 point plan to get things back on track, there appears to be some salvation for the back-log of magazines piling up at the various hubs/distribution points. We do believe that their point number 9: Restore public and business confidence in the post office is going to take some doing and with this in mind we are, as you would have seen in recent communications from us, on the committee of the publishers workgroup who are urgently seeking alternative distribution methods as well as sending a legal complaint to ICASA.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our readers and advertisers for their patience and faith in us during this period of unrest and remain optimistic that things will be back on track in the new year. If you haven’t already done so, please click HERE to provide us with your physical address and of course, remember to take advantage of the electronic versions of our publications. http://www.instrumentation.co.za/archives.aspx
