System Integrator Afrilek recently hosted a successful series of hands-on workshops on Simocode and low voltage switchgear hosted in Witbank and Lydenburg, the locations of two of the company’s new offices.
At the workshops, Afrilek set up work stations and presented real life situations to give delegates the opportunity to learn to solve some of the day to day difficulties experienced on their plants. One of the workshop attendees, Gerhard Cloete from Columbus Stainless, said: “This specific workshop has helped me a tremendous amount. Even though I know the product and work with it on a daily basis, I have realised today that this product can do so much more for me and the plant. What a brilliant workshop!”
Afrilek has decided to host monthly workshops in Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town, Lydenburg, Witbank and Namibia as different regions bring up different topics for different types of end users. The focus is to assist end users to find affordable solutions that suit their specific need. These workshops are extremely focused and based on systems similar to those in the plant. Afrilek’s business development manager Su-Anne Willemse: “Through our customised maintenance training we are able to assist companies to develop, enhance and equip their staff with the knowledge needed to maintain the plant on a daily basis.”
