Temperature is a limiting factor in many belt conveyor systems. The three-stage bevel-helical gear units for belt conveyors from SEW-Eurodrive are based on the company’s X series and feature optimum heat dissipation to offer the user excellent reliability.
The gear unit’s power rating ranges from 58 to 475 kNm and the housing is designed to ensure that the optional axial fan and the units surface are sufficient to diffuse all heat generated by the drive’s high outputs. A special backstop feature limits the torque of the drive.
