Countapulse Controls is known for its ability to provide specialised sensors which meet the practical demands of industry. Among its range of sensing solutions is the proven range of EGE inductive proximity switches, which have been engineered to withstand heavy blows during operation.
The EGE IGV sensors are shock-proof and capable of resisting more than 10 blows with an impact energy of eight Joules. One such blow is equal to the dropping of a 1 kg weight onto the sensor from a height of 800 mm. This means that the EGE IGV sensor more than meets the specifications of the relevant EN 50014 standard, making it suitable for use in extremely rugged industrial environments and applications. The sensors are also capable of withstanding the force of water jets.
They are manufactured in a single piece and have a seamless front construction. This means they can be used in hygienically demanding applications where frequent cleaning processes are necessary. They have optimum resistance to aggressive detergents, cooling lubricants, acids and bases.
Available in three models: M12, M18 and M30, the EGE IGV sensors are designed for operation in ambient temperatures ranging from -25 to +80°C.
