Mettler Toledo’s Combichecker is a compact in-line checkweigher and metal detection combination system that incorporates all the features, options and accessories of a standard Garvens XS3 checkweigher, as well as a highly sensitive Safeline metal detector. The combination of these two technologies makes this unit optimal for applications where the manufacturer requires metal detection and checkweighing as a part of its brand protection program.
The Combichecker determines constantly changing product variables in order to give accurate weight control and excellent detection sensitivity. Underweight or overweight products or those contaminated by small metal particles are automatically rejected from the production process by a pusher and are sorted into two separate, lockable catch bins.
The product handling, production monitoring and evaluation of the two control systems is carried out on the checkweigher’s single touchscreen operating terminal. The compact design, together with the small footprint of the combination device, makes it particularly suitable where floor space is at a premium.
The industry proven modular design of the system can be enhanced with the full range of software options and accessories available, or tailored to specific application requirements. The flexibility and ease of use ensure minimum maintenance and downtime.
The device conforms to all the relevant industry standards required for food production.
