Safety certified vibration sensors

1 August 2010

Hansford Sensors has introduced the new HS-105I range of ATEX and IEC Ex certified intrinsically safe vibration sensors, capable of operating in tough environments at temperatures up to 250°C.
The new sensors have been developed for use in areas of high temperatures on gas turbines used to generate electrical power on off-shore oil and gas platforms. Additionally, they will enable maintenance engineers to monitor vibration levels of large pumps, diesel engines, fans, compressors, motors, drilling rigs and all types of rotating machinery operating in a potentially explosive working environment.
They are supplied with a separate charge amplifier module positioned within the braided cable run allowing this to be positioned outside the high temperature area. A selection of cable lengths and mounting options are available.
