Spirax Sarco's BVA300 series pneumatic rotary actuators are manufactured in 12 different sizes. These actuators can be used with either ball valves or butterfly valves for on/off control or modulating control applications. They are provided with two bi-directional travel stops and travel adjustment, with torque figures up to 4000 Nm. The hard anodised aluminium body, complete with stainless steel bolts, studs and nuts, has a maximum operating pressure of 8 bar gauge and the working temperature range is from -30°C to +100°C.

A new pinion design involves modifications to the internal springs. The BVA300 has pre-compressed springs, which allows different configurations. In this way, springs can be adapted to different air pressures, facilitating safe, simple and fast maintenance.
The BVA300 pneumatic actuators are provided with bi-directional pinion travel stops, which allow a travel adjustment between 85° and 95°. These travel stops avoid superfluous forces and torques which otherwise reduce an actuator's service life.
