IS/Ex heavy duty sounders and beacons provide effective warning

European Safety Systems specialises in the design and manufacture of high output sounders and strobes that are suitable for installation in hostile areas that require safety and warning systems.
Intended for use in hazardous areas, the L101L-IS Intrinsically Safe flashing beacon uses an array of high reliability, low maintenance, ultra bright LEDs to produce a bright flashing warning signal. The manufacturer asserts that this arrangement gives a far more effective visual warning than the Xenon tube beacon alternatives. This unit can be combined with a 105 dB(A) sounder to produce an intrinsically safe sounder/beacon combination, powered through the same Zener barrier or galvanic isolator. The units can be mounted together or separately.
The BEx Explosion Proof range is certified to EEx d and EEx de with 121 dB(A) sounders, 25 watt loudspeakers and 5, 10 or 15 joule output strobes, and combined units consisting of a 117 dB(A) sounder and a 5 joule strobe.
For use in heavy duty and marine applications, the MA range is based on the BEx family but is manufactured from high impact flame-retardant ABS rather than cast aluminium to save on weight and cost and to improve corrosion resistance in harsh environments.
