Year end for the Endress+Hauser staff was not only a time to celebrate the company’s 25th anniversary, but also a time to give to the needy. In these tough economic times, the staff felt that it would be appropriate to spread a little cheer among those less fortunate. Service advisor Etienne Abrahams explains: “Giving something small made me realise how much I have.”
The Acres of Love children’s home near Sandton was identified as a suitable recipient.
Early in December, MD Rob Mackenzie together with marketing manager Hennie Blignaut, Ingrid Nicolaus and Farhaana Mohidien delivered the gifts to Acres of Love on behalf of Endress+Hauser’s staff. “After a brief introduction to Acres of Love we were introduced to the pre-schoolers. Here we had the opportunity to engage with them and hear them sing their concert song. Some of the gifts were distributed to the children with the remaining gifts of school stationery and accessories to be handed out later to the older children,” Ingrid said.

“What a lovely environment – I felt welcome and relaxed – I felt at home. Thank you to the Endress+Hauser staff for involving us with this wonderful institution,” added Rob. Acres of Love’s David Potter extended thanks for the support and donation of Christmas gifts to the children.

The location of each home is carefully selected to ensure the children are kept insulated from the poverty in which most were found.
